Principal, Ms Jenny Williams, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Shanghai No 3 Girls Middle School.  This school is known for its educational excellence in China.  16 students from Shanghai No 3 Girls Middle School and Marsden will undertake short exchange visits biennially, commencing in 2013.  These visits will enhance cultural awareness between the two countries and encourage students to develop friendships into the future. Exchanges & Overseas Experience

Students learn a lot about themselves from travelling overseas, whether it's on exchange, or to participate in an International  competition, to further their learning, or to offer service to a community in Samoa or Fiji. At Marsden all of these opportunities are possible.

Living like a local, students become immersed in the culture, often improving their language skills, making new friends, gaining valuable international experience and maturity.

Staff too benefit from different types of voluntary service abroad.

"On many different levels the trip was very worthwhile and brought up many questions of course! The incredible warmth of the Cambodian people I met was amazing (teachers, hostel staff, tuk tuk drivers and many more)"
Teacher, Deborah Emsley travelled to Cambodia early in 2012 as a volunteer English teacher.
