Geography

New Zealand is an exciting country in which to learn Geography.

Extreme natural events such as earthquakes and floods have left landscapes which show their formation and history to students in field trips which take in the Kapiti Coast and Central volcanic region of the North Island.

In the Wellington region students look at the use of non-renewable resources and quarrying, and dairy farming in the Manawatu.

The link between people and their environment is an important issue globally and study is made of how decisions are made in this area.

Geographic skills such as mapping, graphing and analysis are woven into each unit.
