Guten Tag, bonjour, ni hao
, hola!
"To speak another language is to have another soul" Charlemagne
Learning a foreign language gives students an exciting insight into another culture and its people.
As they grow confident, the girls have the opportunity to go on exchanges to Germany and France, as well as hosting international students at home.
The future for our students is looking increasingly global, where they may need at least a working knowledge of a second language. Only 25 per cent of the world speaks English and as adults, the girls will need to understand the cultural heritage of those with whom they do business.
Marsden offers French and German from Years 7 to 13 and Mandarin Chinese to Year 11.
