Fee Information - 2012

Samuel Marsden Collegiate School is a charitable trust, and we broadly budget to run the School on a breakeven basis.
The Board regularly reviews the fees and sets them at the lowest possible level to ensure increasing costs do not erode the high standards of tuition and facilities for which Marsden has become known.

Application and Acceptance Fees (non-refundable)

There is a $100 (inc GST) fee payable on application. If your application is successful and we offer your daughter/son a place, there is a $450 (inc GST) acceptance fee payable on enrolment. If you would like more information, email our Enrolments Officer and we will send you an information pack, including requirements for formal application. This is not suitable for emailing.

Sibling Discounts

A 20% tuition fee discount is available to families for the third and subsequent child when all are current students at Marsden (excluding Preschool and International students). In the case where the oldest sibling(s) have already left Marsden, a 10% tuition fee discount may apply to the third or subsequent child. Application in writing to the Principal is required.

Building Replacement Fund

This ensures the School buildings, facilities and amenities are maintained, up-dated and where necessary, expanded. A special levy of $250 (plus GST) has been retained in respect of the proposed Sports Education Centre.  This will be capped at a maximum of $500 (plus GST) per family having more than 2 students at Marsden.

Fees Protection Scheme

In the event of the death of either parent, a pupil may continue her/his education at Marsden up to and including the fifth secondary year. Pre School exempt.

Disbursement Deposit

$100 is payable with the first invoice to cover miscellaneous charges. This is a deposit and the balance is refunded when the pupil leaves Marsden.

Parents' Association

On behalf of the Parents' Association, the School invoices the subscription, $11.50 (inc GST) per term, per family, on the fees account.

Old Girls' Association

On behalf of the Old Girls' Association, the School invoices the subscription, $11.50 (inc GST) per term, per pupil, on the fees account for each girl in Year 9 and above, unless otherwise stated by parents. At the end of Year 13 the subscription for life membership of the Association is fully paid.
