Co-curricular

Marsden believes that variety of opportunity and experience benefits all students and so offers an extensive co-curricular programme.

Studies show a direct correlation between taking part in co-curricular activities and improved academic performance.

SPORT

Sport at Marsden teaches students about sportsmanship, teamwork and courage.  Students learn to be gracious winners and good losers. Sport plays an important part in the life of most Marsden students, with a 90 per cent participation rate.

Girls take part in activities which range from social lawn bowls and rock climbing to our highly competitive hockey, netball, cricket, football and touch rugby teams - there's something for everyone! More..

MUSIC

Music is also an important part of life at Marsden. We have numerous performance groups who practise, play and stage concerts.  Music is also an academic subject.

Specialist teachers ensure girls can have private tuition in the instrument of their choice whilst at school. More...

PERFORMING ARTS

Girls audition for a highly anticipated school production every second year, this year performing the joyous musical, Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat.  Students produce and direct Stage Challenge in the other year, with Marsden a previous winner and runner-up regionally

Speech and Drama and Public Speaking lessons are offered as an extra-curricular activity to give girls confidence in speaking in different situations, while Debating is having a highly successful year.
