CHRIS SELLEY - BRASS


Chris SelleyChris Selley started his music career in the British Army, serving for six years as a bandsman in the Royal Green Jackets. He continued playing in several big bands (jazz) and a concert band while working as a computer programmer in London.

Since moving to New Zealand in 1989 he has played in many big bands (including with Rodger Fox), tours, shows, operas, TV, radio and album recordings. He has been in David Feehans band (jazz & covers) since 1990. Currently holds the position of bandmaster with the band of the 7th Battalion Wellington & Hawkes Bay (NZ Territorial Force). He plays trumpet, flugelhorn, EVI (Electronic Valve Instrument) and EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) but can teach most of the brass range (cornet, trombone, french horn etc).
