DEBORAH MAUD - MUSIC COORDINATOR, MARSDEN PRIMARY

Deborah Maud attended both Auckland and Victoria University and gained a Bmus in Flute Performance. She continued with post graduate studies in London thanks to a NZ Arts Council grant. Deborah spent many years playing professionally in orchestras, including 5 years as Sub Principal Flute with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. In 1995 she completed teacher training.

Deborah has taught flute in schools and privately over 25 years in both NZ and the United Kingdom. She has acted for many years as woodwind examiner for Australian Music Examinations Board and now examines for the NZ Music Examinations Board. She has also worked as journalist and music librarian for Radio New Zealand.

Deborah enjoys working as Specialist Music Teacher at Marsden Years 1 to 9. Her teaching includes Class Music, Yahoos, Instrumental Groups and Thursday Players.
