Well done to Anna Roche (Y13) who ran a personal best to finish second in the senior women's 800m at the International Track Meet in Christchurch last Thursday. She has qualified for the World Junior Athletics Championships in Canada in July. This is an amazing comeback after being away injured for eight months. See Dominion Post article (24/3/2010)

Athletic Sports

Marsden's Athletic sports were held at Newtown Park in February. It was a fabulous day with several records being broken. Anna Roche broke the Senior 800m and 1500m records and was named Senior Athletics Champion, Brianne Egley won the Junior 100m sprint record; Emma Fulbrook broke the record for the Junior Vortex Throw and was runner up Junior Champion. The Junior 4 x100m relay was won by 8BN in a new time of 1.01.44 secs.

Hadfield-Beere won the March Past and overall House Winners were Richmond
