Marsden Parents’ Association AGM
Thursday 16 February 2012 – Cultural Centre, Marsden House
The Marsden Parents’ Association invites you to their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 16 February at 7.30pm in the Cultural Centre. The meeting will be followed by the inaugural meeting of the 2011 Committee.
The Parents’ Association contributes to the life of the School in a number of ways, including financially. We organise dances and fundraising events, cater and assist on Open Day and other functions and of course manage our biannual gala. It is therefore important that a vibrant Committee is in place to oversee the work of the Association. All parents are automatically members of the Association and eligible to serve on the Committee. Due to a number of retirements the Committee is in need of new members and I would strongly encourage anyone who has an interest in supporting the work of the Association, and through it, their daughters and the staff at Marsden, to come along to the AGM and stand for the Committee. It is an enjoyable way to be involved in the life of Marsden.

All parents are automatically members of the Parents’ Association (PA).
Pictured left: A shared purpose, a sense of humour and a chainsaw was all that was needed as Marsden parents chopped firewood to raise funds for the new Sports Education Centre last year.
Parents are elected on to the PA Committee at the AGM held in February each year. All are welcome to this meeting.
Many volunteers assist at Marsden each year and all help, of whatever kind, is really appreciated. If you are the parent of a Year 7-13 student, please take a moment to complete the volunteer form and let us know how you could help with Parents' Association run events.
