Gala 2011

Thank you to the thousands who braved the weather to make the 2011 Marsden Gala one of the most successful yet! We made over $52,000 towards the Parents' Association projects. See photos

Gala convenor, Ursula Egan and her wonderful group of helpers are to be congratulated for all their hard work leading up to the Gala and their tireless contribution on the day. We couldn't have done it without them. Thanks also to the teams of enthusiastic parents, students and staff who contributed in lots and lots of ways to the success of the Gala by baking, donating goods or giving their time and energy. You are all stars!

We would also like to acknowledge the generosity of all our sponsors, particularly our principal sponsor, Harcourts Team Wellington Ltd.

Trees for Marsden

Thank you to the benefactor who donated three surplus macrocarpa trees to the Marsden Parents' Association to be cut for firewood in aid of the Sports Education Centre.  They have been felled by our groundsmen so they can dry out over the summer.  A parents' working bee will cut them up next year. Boys play Chess

Chess is BIG:

A giant chess set has been purchased for the school by the Marsden Parents' Association. Pictured are Whitby boys enjoying a game between classes on the Karori campus. Marsden has several thriving chess clubs. (18/08/09)
