Service in Fiji
A fabulous team of ten Y12/13 girls with teachers Christine Barlow and Celia McCarthy had an action packed week in Fiji during the holidays where they spent time at St James Anglican Primary School. Our senior girls worked hard and took responsibility for assisting in each of the four classes. Fundraising in the preceding term allowed them to take resources to share: they enjoyed creating some Science lessons, reading lots of new books, playing with new sports gear, sewing, reinforcing good dental health, sharing musical expertise and many more fun things. Although the visit was short, our team has come away with a new understanding of the idea of service. (14/05/2013)
