Marsden Spirit
Educating students for success in the 21st century is a responsibility Marsden takes seriously. Our school dates back to 1878 and over the intervening years a unique spirit has evolved that characterises our school. Today the spirit of Marsden is underpinned by the four pillars of excellence, resilience, creativity and giving. We aim to link all our goals to the four pillars and seek to use the qualities of grit and grace to achieve them. Grit represents determination, courage and effort; grace represents kindness, empathy and integrity.
Our vision is to develop confident, independent, learners who think creatively and who are challenged to reach their academic and personal potential in a warm, values-based Christian environment. Our students are encouraged to find their strengths, exercise their talents and realise their dreams. It is important that Marsden students also understand their responsibilities as global and local citizens and work actively to develop that awareness. We offer an education experience where attitudes and values are fostered that prepare students for happy and stimulating lives. We believe the spirit of Marsden makes the tangible difference.
