Years 7 to 11

Specialist teaching in all subjects starts at Year 7 at Marsden, as we recognise the expanding intellectual capacity of this age group.

This approach is one of the keys to the success of Marsden students, particularly in Mathematics and the Sciences.

Girls are challenged with a diverse, wide-ranging curriculum, including three languages, Enterprise studies and Information Technology as well as the more traditional subjects.

Year 7 and Year 8 girls still enter intermediate academic and sports competitions for their level, with exciting results.

Year 9 brings another intake of students and serious study leading to NCEA assessments from Year 10 onwards according to ability.

All students are prepared for NCEA exams and assessments in Year 11.
