Important dates and events: Term two 2012

Throughout this term we will be updating our class ‘whānau book’.  If possible, please provide a photo of your family which we will display in a folder for our students to have a look at.

This term we are trailing a theme for each week- so far we have most of these in place and will add more or change at a later date if need be, but this is to let you have an idea in advance and to have input if you have any ideas.

Week 2: Letter of the week -   l- Light & Electricity

Tuesday May 1- Visit to the Secondary School library for a story and talk about the library.

Week 3: Letter of the week  - m - Maori Myths & Legends

Melissa Moon- World Stair climbing champion and long distance runner will visit us on t 11 May

Week 4: Letter of the week  - n  Nutrition 

Tuesday 15 May- 3.30pm- 6pm- Parent/ Teacher Interviews – we will hand out a time option sheet for you closer to the time for both evenings.

Thursday 17 May: Coffee morning for parents/caregivers from 9.00am (following preschool drop-off) at Coucou Cafe, 92 Karori Road. 

Thursday 17 May- School Cross Country- Preschool will participate in this event on the school field.  More details of this event will be posted on the notice board closer to the time.

Tuesday 22 May 3.30 – 6pm Parent/Teacher Interviews

Visit to the Food Technology department in Secondary school- baking with the Yr.12’s.

Week 6: Letter of the week  - p- People & Places

Wednesday 30 May- Visit to Jenny Williams- Principal

Week 7: Letter of the week  - q- Quilting & Patterns

Week 8: Letter of the week  - r- Reptiles & Recycling

Richard(Caretaker)  to bring his Harley Davidson to Preschool

Week 9: Letter of the week  - s-  Science Week

Week 10: Letter of the week – t- Matariki & Transport

Thursday 28 June- Visit to Te Papa- Storyplace- Matariki stories.

Friday 29 June- Term 2 ends.
