Fitzherbert Supporters

Fitzherbert House competitors listen intently to instructions at this year's cross country.

Houses

The girls of Innes, Fitzherbert and Sprott Houses have marvellous fun competing against each other to see which House has won the most points each week.

Where have the names come from?

Innes House

Innes House

Named after the benefactor of the school and secretary of the first Board of Governors

Fitzherbert House

Fitzherbert House

Named for the original Fitzherbert Terrace School founded by Mrs Mary Anne Swainson in 1878

Sprott House

Sprott House

Named after Bishop Sprott, Bishop of Wellington and first Chairman of the Board of Governors

For competitions such as Swimming Sports, Athletic Sports and Cross Country, we dress up in our Innes (blue), Sprott (red) or Fitzherbert (yellow) t-shirts and coloured caps so there is absolutely no uncertainty about which house we are racing for.

The House trophy is enthusiastically contested each year and awarded to the House with the greatest number of points gathered throughout the year.
