Friendship Stop

Our Friendship Stop in the playground is where girls can stand when they are looking for someone to play with.

Pastoral Care

At Marsden Primary we foster emotional intelligence and resilience in our students and we know that these are important factors in the girls’ success.

Each class meets in Circle Time sessions to reflect on the successes and challenges of the previous week. Girls and teachers can meet one-on-one in Bubble Time. We even have a Friendship Stop in the playground. That’s where girls can stand when they are looking for someone to play with.

Our parents, who volunteer as class coordinators from Pre-school to Year 6, organise entertaining activities for the mums and dads. They also welcome new families to our school and help out in a variety of ways, including baking for our morning teas at St Mary’s Church at the end of each term.

We have Chapel sessions three mornings per week, On Monday we introduce the Virtue of the week; on Wednesday our Chaplain reads us a Bible story, and on Thursday teachers read a picture book related to the Virtue. Pre-school join us on a Friday. Chapel is also a place to sing, to pray and to listen to the musical skills of many of our students.

Following Friday’s Chapel service, assembly is held. This is where students share their work and talk about the highlights of their week.
