Parents' Association
The Marsden Whitby Parents’ Association represents and acts on behalf of all the Marsden Whitby Parents. All families belong.
What do we do?
The Association works to support the School in Whitby, to foster friendship amongst parents and pupils and to raise funds to improve the facilities of the School on the Whitby campus. We wish to do this by:
* Supporting the interests, welfare and educational advancement of our students.
* Gifting resources that meet School needs. These resources will be identified both by the Staff at Whitby and by parents and students.
* Supporting student events e.g.: Stall days and the Leavers’ Breakfast. We will also provide catering support for School events.
* Encouraging and supporting parents to meet and get to know each other.
* Organising events that will bring parents together from across the School. These include the Family Picnic, parent evenings and social functions.
The Marsden Whitby Parents’ Association operates separately from the Karori Parents' Association although it has the same goals and objectives. Marsden Whitby invoices the Association subscription of $10 plus GST per term per family, dispersed to the fees account. This subscription enables us to support events at the Whitby Campus and run larger fundraisers here for our school.
