Employment

Marsden Whitby is the first Independent  co-educational secondary school offered in Wellington. Situated in Whitby, a suburb 20 minutes north of Wellington, the College features spacious grounds and a native bush setting.

At present, all positions are filled although, as vacancies inevitably occur from time to time, we welcome applications from highly qualified, enthusiastic and committed teachers throughout the year. As vacancies occur, details will be posted on this Website.

Marsden's outstanding reputation for academic, sporting and cultural excellence is built firmly upon the skills and abilities of our carefully chosen teachers. We expect teachers to have qualifications appropriate to their chosen area in teaching and the ability to engage students in lively and interactive pursuit of knowledge.

We are committed to the use of information and communications technologies (ICT) in the curriculum; experience in this area is an advantage. Staff training in ICT is provided at Marsden.

All staff are expected to be involved in the co-curricular life of the School; sporting, cultural and outdoor activities abound and are heavily reliant on staff enthusiasm and commitment.

Marsden, as an Anglican school, fosters pastoral care of students and an environment respectful of students, staff and parents. Assemblies are Bible-based and there are Church and Chapel services on occasions. All staff are expected to attend these and respect the beliefs the school espouses.

Principal, Ms Jenny Williams welcomes enquiries from teachers.
