Top awards for our sportswomen
We had 6 finalists in the College Sport Wellington Awards on Sunday night: Maggie Burns (Swimming), Emma Carruthers (Orienteering), Emma Fulbrook (Cricket), Alex Mair (Handball), Gabrielle Palado (Golf) and Christy Robinson (Tennis) – congratulations girls, this is a huge achievement as they only pick 3 or 4 finalists in each sport from the whole Wellington region!
Two of them received top awards and we heartily applaud Gabrielle who received CSW Golfer of the Year and Alex who was named CSW Handball Player of the Year. This tops off the great year both these talented sportswomen have had and we are absolutely delighted for them.
