Please read the Scholarship FAQs for information on scholarship requirements, procedures and terms and conditions. NB: Supporting documents are required to be uploaded at the time the scholarship application is submitted, please have them ready. Applications received without correct supporting documentation will not be considered.

Year 7

Year 7 Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Applications open 11 February 2019 and close 16 May 2019

The Year 7 Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded for 3 years and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae

 

Scholarship examination will be held on Saturday 25 May 2019, applicants must be available to sit the exam on this date.

Year 9

Applications open 11 February 2019 and close 16 May 2019

Year 9 Scholarship for Academic Excellence

The Year 9 Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded for 5 years and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae.

 

Scholarship examination will be held on Saturday 25 May 2019, applicants must be available to sit the exam on this date.

Year 9 Scholarship for Cultural or Sporting Excellence

The Year 9 Cultural Excellence or Sporting Excellence Scholarship is awarded for at least 3 years and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees. Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae. 

 

In addition

  • Year 9 Cultural Excellence applicants are required to submit a recording (up to 5 minutes long) of relevant performance on a CD/DVD, USB (in an acceptable file format) or online (eg: YouTube) NB: Live auditions do not form part of the application, although may be required at the Principal's discretion.
  • If Year 9 Sporting Excellence applicants are invited for an interview, they will be required to undergo a sports assessment on the same day.

Scholarship examination will be held on Saturday 25 May 2019, applicants must be available to sit the exam on this date.

Year 9 Marsden Old Girls’ Association Scholarship

The Marsden Old Girls' Association offers a Scholarship to girls who are daughters, granddaughters or great-granddaughters of Old Girls wishing to enter Year 9. This Scholarship provides 50% of tuition fees (excluding GST) over 3 years.  Available to new or current students, applicants are required to sit the scholarship examination and to provide a curriculum vitae.

 

Scholarship examination will be held on Saturday 25 May 2019, applicants must be available to sit the exam on this date.

Years 11 and 12

Year 11/Year 12 Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Applications open 11 February 2019

The Year 11/12 Academic Excellence Scholarship is available to new or current students. All-rounders may also be considered for entrance into Year 11. This scholarship is available to girls not currently attending Marsden School and provides between 25% – 50% of tuition fees for 3 years (Year 11) and 2 years (Year 12). Available to new or current students, applicants are required to provide a curriculum vitae.

Excellence in Sports Scholarships CLOSED

Marsden Karori offers Excellence in Sports scholarships to students entering in Years 10 to 13. If you have a proven record in netball, football, rowing, tennis or hockey and would like a Marsden education click here for more information. Consideration may be given to students excelling in other codes.

Senior School Scholarship (Helen Davidson Award)

Applications open 11 February 2019

The Helen Davidson Award (Senior School Scholarship) may be awarded to girls in Year 12 who are not currently students at Marsden.  Providing between 25% – 50% tuition fees over 2 years, this Scholarship is awarded on the basis of an application to the Principal.

The Nell Clere Music Scholarship

Awarded by the Old Girls' Association on the basis of performance at the annual Betty Swainson Memorial Concert, this Scholarship assists with Music Tuition. Marsden students in Years 7 to 12, learning music outside the School as well as those learning at Marsden are eligible. Please contact Mrs Marian Campbell,  Director of Music.
