Fiji Service Trip
Prior to COVID disruptions Marsden senior students had the opportunity to fundraise and travel to Fiji to help at St James Primary School in Levuka. Our hope is we can recommence these trips when safe to do so.
The 8-10 day Fiji Service trip usually takes place in the first week of holidays at the end of Term 1. While there, students spend time working with Primary students in classes, taking lessons, helping the teachers and running physical education lessons outside. Prior to the trip they fundraise to buy resources, then plan and create lessons which they first trial with Marsden Primary students.
This trip is all about giving in a practical way that helps grow the warm bond between St James and Marsden schools. All the students who have been on one of these trips say it has been a 'life-changing experience'.
