Jaylee remembers leaving school
During the years when so much was changing in our lives, school was one of the only things that remained the same. It was a second home that we were all so familiar with - it contained our friends, our teachers and so many individuals that we respected and loved. I always thought I was ready to leave and head off into the world - I thought I was able to stand on my own and I now know I am. The teachers and staff taught me that I can enter this big adult world and to always believe in myself.
I'm not going to lie - leaving the school was quite hard, a lot harder than I would have ever thought and for that I was grateful. It meant that the school was a part of who I am and that they had given me memories I would never want to forget.
