Marsden Primary Reading Recovery Teacher (part time fixed term)

Marsden is a high-performing independent Anglican school offering private education to students from Preschool to Year 13. We have an outstanding reputation for excellence in all aspects of achievement and are fortunate in our enthusiastic and innovative staff who thrive in this environment.

 

We seek an outstanding teacher for reading recovery as follows:

 

Reading Recovery – part time, fixed term, commencing Term 1, 2020 and finishing end of Term 2, 2020 (2 hours per day 5 days a week)

 

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Provide reading recover for 6 year olds on the programme and Literacy Learning Support for older Primary students 3-6 as timetable permits
  • Need to be flexible, and communicate well with teachers and parents.
  • support and challenge our girls to make the most of their potential
  • be a proactive member of our collaborative team
  • contribute to the strong pastoral care that fosters resilient and happy girls
  • aim for excellence in their pedagogical practice
  • be a reflective practitioner with a strong interest in their own professional growth
  • approach units of work creatively
  • enjoy being part of a close-knit team who respect each other and pull together
