Congratulations to Marsden Old Girl and Laureate Miranda Harcourt on being named a Dame Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the screen industry and theatre.
Dame Harcourt is a sought-after coach working with stars like Nicole Kidman, Dev Patel and Reese Witherspoon.
Marsden students have also benefited from Miranda's generously shared expertise through workshops run at school or at Rata Studios.
I feel like my job is to lift them up and be an advocate for emerging careers, just as much as I support people at the top of the tree.
