After School Care Programme Lead

Beth is the Programme Lead for our after school care programme, Manaaki at Marsden, and brings a creative, caring and child-centred approach to our after school programme. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours and has experience in after school care both as a child and as a working adult, which has shaped her strong focus on play-based learning, wellbeing and building children’s confidence.

Beth loves working with primary-aged tamariki and enjoys the creativity, humour and honesty they bring to each day. She is passionate about helping children discover their strengths, build independence and learn how to play and work alongside others in a supportive environment.

Beth particularly enjoys leading hands-on activities that spark imagination and problem-solving, as well as creative arts experiences that support confidence, self-expression and emotional regulation. She also enjoys group games that encourage teamwork and social connection.

Outside of work, Beth enjoys gardening and growing food and flowers, creative arts and local music, camping, travelling and paddle boarding, and experimenting with gluten-free cooking and baking.

In her role at Marsden, Beth creates a warm and enjoyable after-school environment and builds strong relationships with both tamariki and whānau. Families can expect clear communication, a positive attitude, and a programme of activities designed to engage a wide range of strengths, interests and personalities.
