Development Manager
Role and Responsibilities
Jude is the Development Manager at Marsden, where she plays a key role in advancing the school’s fundraising strategy and building lasting relationships across the Marsden community, Foundation Board, and alumnae network. A major focus of her role is growing the Bequest Programme to ensure every Marsden girl has access to a future-focused, world-class education.
Working Background
Jude began her career as Head of Commerce at Nelson Girls’ College, before moving overseas to teach at a UK private girls’ school. She later became Education Director for a British provider leading the Abu Dhabi education reform across 80 public schools. This led to further leadership roles in developing new private schools in the Gulf region.
Since returning to New Zealand in 2020, Jude has served as Vice Chair of the NZ Middle East Business Council, working closely with MFAT and GCC Ambassadors to strengthen education and trade ties. She holds a Master of Science in education technology and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, both supported by a Ministry of Education study grant - qualifications that have underpinned her international career.
Interests and hobbies
Jude is a passionate sailor and seasoned traveller. She’s navigated the Western and Southern tip of Greenland, sailed through Fijian waters, and trained at Wellington’s Port Nic sailing school. When she’s not near the water, she’s enjoying the outdoors at her bach in Turangi - walking, fly fishing, or braving the Tongariro River. More recently, she’s embraced sketching as a quieter creative outlet. For Jude, home is about the smell of coffee and baking, the comfort of books, and the joy of having her three adult children drop by.
