Kirin has been an integral part of the Marsden whānau since 2015. Her professional journey in education began in 2009 teaching Mathematics at Wellington College. This foundational experience paved the path for her transition to Marsden, where she was appointed Head of Mathematics. At the end of 2019, Kirin took a two-year hiatus to focus on raising her young children, returning part-time in 2021 and 2023. In 2024, she resumed the mantle of Head of Mathematics.

In her capacity as HOD, Kirin is the guiding force behind the comprehensive teaching and learning of Mathematics from Years 7 to 13. At the core of her ethos lies a profound commitment to nurturing an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

My passion lies in making Mathematics an enjoyable and accessible subject for all students, utilising innovative approaches to foster a love for numbers.
