Preschool Teacher
Kirsten was born and raised in Wellington and completed her schooling at Queen Margaret College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Victoria University of Wellington and a Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) from Wellington Teachers' College.
With more than 30 years’ experience in early childhood education, Kirsten has taught across a wide range of settings, including childcare centres, kindergartens and distance education with Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu. Her passion for nurturing children’s creativity and supporting a positive transition to school brought her to Marsden Preschool in 2022.
Kirsten is passionate about helping every child reach their potential in a safe, welcoming environment where curiosity, confidence and critical thinking can flourish. She values each child as an individual and takes a responsive approach to teaching, adapting her practice to ensure every child feels known, valued and supported.
