For Lucy Andrew, philanthropy is about creating meaningful connections between people and purpose.

As Marsden’s Philanthropy Manager, Lucy works closely with our community to build relationships, share the impact of giving and create opportunities for people to support initiatives that make a genuine difference to our students and the future of the school.

Lucy brings experience spanning both the corporate and charitable sectors. She began her career in sales and marketing within luxury hotels, where she led teams and developed a strong foundation in relationship management, before moving into the charitable sector and then into philanthropy within education. She holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, majoring in Marketing, from Massey University

Lucy is passionate about the role education can play in shaping a young person’s life and values the opportunity to contribute to a school that encourages girls to be their best.

“I believe school and education can have an enormous impact on someone’s life. Being part of an environment that inspires girls each and every day aligns strongly with my own values.”

At the heart of Lucy’s role is building strong relationships across the Marsden community and creating opportunities for philanthropy to support initiatives with lasting impact.

“Philanthropy is not simply about asking for support. It is about building trust, sharing a sense of purpose and inviting people to be part of something that truly matters. It is incredibly rewarding to help people connect with something meaningful and to see the difference that generosity can make.”

Outside Marsden, Lucy enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two young children and getting outdoors into nature whenever she can.
