Food Technology Teacher
We are thrilled to introduce you to our new Food Technology teacher for 2023, Milan Kostanich.
Early Career and Passion for Food
Milan started his career in business having obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration majoring in Marketing and Management from Victoria University of Wellington, but he soon discovered that working as a chef was where his passions lay.
He has worked in Wellington and Melbourne restaurants such as Fratelli and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, to name a few. Milan says he really enjoyed the fast-paced environment and need to think on your feet that the hospitality industry provided, and he worked his way up from dish washer to chef.

Back to School
Once he developed a passion for sharing his knowledge with others, Milan went back to Victoria University and got his teaching degree. He is looking forward to creating all sorts of fun and wonderful dishes with the ākonga at Marsden.
Away from the Kitchen
When he isn’t at school, Milan enjoys cooking, reading, exercising, yoga and meditation. Welcome Milan!
