Sue Binns has been a valued member of the Marsden teaching staff since 2006, combining her love of science with her role as Careers Advisor. She teaches Science from Years 7–10 and Biology to senior students, while also guiding students from Years 7–13 as they explore pathways beyond school.

In her careers role, Sue meets regularly with students to discuss future options, curates a weekly careers newsletter, and organises a wide range of opportunities to broaden students' understanding of life after school - from guest speakers and career-focused trips, to Marsden’s annual Future Pathways Evening.

Sue has taught continuously since 1987, with experience in Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington, and Worcester in the UK. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Psychology, along with a postgraduate teaching diploma, and brings deep subject knowledge and real-world guidance to her work with students.
