Chinese and Mathematics Teacher
Role and Responsibilities
Zoe Ren is a registered teacher in both China and New Zealand, qualified to teach Chinese Language and Mathematics. She began her teaching career in 2014 and joined Marsden in 2026. Zoe has taught students ranging from 10 years old to adults, working with learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. She is passionate about sharing the depth and beauty of Chinese language and culture and actively organises cultural activities to help students gain a deeper, more authentic understanding of China.
Background
Zoe was born and raised in China and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature. She completed her Master of Teaching and Learning at Victoria University of Wellington and has also undertaken a mathematics course at Massey University, enabling her to teach Mathematics. Zoe feels deeply connected to Marsden’s values of excellence and resilience and strives to be a source of encouragement, motivation, and support for her students throughout their learning journeys.
Interests and Hobbies
Outside the classroom, Zoe enjoys quiet moments cuddling with her cat by the fireplace in winter and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens during the summer months.
