There’s no better way to discover the Marsden difference than to spend the day with us. It’s a chance to meet future classmates, dive into hands-on learning and experience what makes Marsden Primary such a special place to learn and grow.

Your daughter can look forward to:

  • a warm welcome and a buddy in her year group
  • specialist learning and activities across the day
  • hands-on opportunities to create, explore and discover
  • a special shared lunch.

Parents and caregivers are warmly invited to join us from 2.30pm for afternoon tea and a Q&A with Head of Primary Jo Burns – an opportunity to learn more about Marsden Primary and ask any questions you may have.

More time to grow at Marsden

Starting at Marsden in the early Primary years gives your daughter more time to grow in confidence, build strong relationships and develop a real sense of belonging.

In small classes, she is known as an individual from the beginning. Her teachers get to know her strengths, interests and learning needs, allowing them to tailor the pace, challenge and support she receives. There is space for her to contribute, ask questions, try new things and develop confidence in her own abilities.

Over time, friendships grow, relationships deepen and Marsden becomes a familiar place where she feels comfortable being herself.

And as she moves through the school, that sense of belonging moves with her. She already knows the campus, the culture and the community around her, giving her continuity and confidence as she progresses through Marsden.

Strong foundations. Broad opportunities.

Learning at Marsden Primary combines strong foundations with rich opportunities to explore, create and discover.

Our girls benefit from:

  • strong foundations in literacy and numeracy through iDeaL Structured Literacy and PR1ME Mathematics
  • specialist teaching in Science, French, Music, Physical Education and Te Reo Māori
  • an intentional approach to wellbeing and tailored learning support, including access to programmes such as Arrowsmith where appropriate
  • opportunities to develop leadership, independence and confidence
  • the facilities of our wider campus, including Science labs, Art House, gym, auditorium, artificial turf and sports fields
  • expansive green spaces with room to run, play and explore.

New for 2027: Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives

From 2027, Marsden Primary will introduce Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives, adding another dimension to our future-focused Primary programme.

Rather than focusing on a particular subject, Global Perspectives develops the skills children need to become confident, independent learners.

Through inquiry into engaging topics and real-world issues, girls learn to research, analyse information, consider different perspectives, communicate their ideas, collaborate with others and reflect on their learning.

It complements our strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while helping girls develop the curiosity, critical thinking and confidence they will need for the future.

A big advantage to starting early

Marsden has introduced the Primary Early Years Loyalty Advantage, designed to make an earlier Marsden education possible for more families.

Eligible new students joining Marsden in the early Primary years can receive a significant tuition fee advantage, recognising the value of beginning their Marsden journey earlier.

The earlier your daughter starts at Marsden Primary, the greater the advantage.
