The competition was a remarkable event, featuring over 13 countries and showcasing World and Olympic Champions. New Zealand had a duet competing, aiming for Olympic selection, with results expected within the next couple of weeks.
This event marked Jo's first experience judging at a world-class international level under the new scoring system in artistic swimming. Additionally, she was evaluated by a World Aquatics evaluator and participated in several meetings about the changes and updates to the rules leading up to the event.
Jo's experience and the insights gained from these updates will be invaluable as she plans to share this knowledge with local judges. She will be running seminars to upskill them before the National Championships in September, ensuring everyone is well-prepared under the new system.
