The Auditorium was filled with excitement yesterday as all six Houses gathered for one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the Marsden calendar - House Music! From the first note to the last, the afternoon was a showcase of teamwork, creativity, and musical talent.
Each House began with the waiata Ka Waiata, before moving on to their chosen song selected by their House Captains. The hard work behind the scenes - the hours of rehearsals, fine-tuning of arrangements, and polishing of harmonies - was demonstrated through every performance.
This year’s song choices were:

- Hadfield-Beere: “I Lived” by One Republic
- Jellicoe: “I will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor
- Johnson: “Wonderwall” by Oasis
- Richmond: “Dancing Queen” by ABBA
- Swainson-Riddiford: “Accidentally in Love” by Counting Crows
A special thank you to our brilliant MCs, Issy and Ashreya, who kept the momentum going and entertained the audience while the judges deliberated. We are also grateful to guest adjudicator Louise Logan for generously sharing her time and musical expertise.
