A week of celebrations for Marsden Primary
Marsden Primary Celebration & Nativity
On Tuesday, the Marsden Primary community gathered for our annual Primary Celebration, a joyful event honouring the achievements, growth, and milestones of our youngest learners.
This special occasion also marked a farewell to our Year 6 students as they complete their Primary school journey and prepare to embark on the next chapter in Middle School. In a heartwarming Marsden tradition, the Year 7 students escorted each Year 6 student out of the auditorium, a symbolic gesture of guidance, support, and leadership for the exciting road ahead.
The celebration was filled with festive cheer as our Year 1–3 students brought the Nativity to life. Their confident performances, full of energy and enthusiasm, delighted the audience and captured the magic of the Christmas story.
Awards recognising academic excellence, leadership, sporting achievement, and service to the school community highlighted the hard work and dedication of our Year 6 students. Each recipient was celebrated for their unique contributions throughout the year, reflecting the values and spirit of Marsden.

Santa Visits Marsden
Our Preschool and Primary students waited eagerly on Wednesday, and their excitement was rewarded when Santa and his helpers arrived to spread a little Christmas magic.
Toy Service
On Thursday students and their families gathered for our traditional end-of-year service at St Mary’s, an opportunity to come together to give thanks for the year’s achievements and to share aroha with those in need. Each student contributed a new, unwrapped gift to place under the Christmas tree for the Wellington City Mission. We are deeply grateful to our families. Meri Kirihimete!
