A standout year for University Entrance
We are also delighted that 95% of our eligible Year 13 students achieved University Entrance, placing our cohort among the strongest in recent years. This is a testament to our students’ perseverance, the quality of teaching, and the high level of support offered across our community.
Principal Paula Wells says the 2025 results are a powerful reminder of what our students can accomplish within a nurturing, high-expectation learning environment.

Co-requisite success strengthens the picture
Alongside our NCEA achievement, we are also pleased with our students’ strong results in the NCEA literacy and numeracy co-requisites. Most Marsden students complete these assessments in Year 10, giving them early experience with formal external assessment and ensuring they are well prepared for NCEA Levels 1–3. In 2025, 100% of our domestic students achieved the Literacy co-requisite, and 98.4% achieved the Numeracy co-requisite, further demonstrating the strong academic foundation our students bring into their senior years.
We celebrate all our students for their hard work and achievements, and we thank our teachers, whānau and wider community for their support. These results affirm our commitment to fostering excellence — Ad Summa — for every learner.
