Marsden is delighted to announce Toi Marsden | The Marsden Art Show, a new fundraising event organised by the Marsden Parents and Friends’ Group.
The Marsden Art Show will open with a gala evening on Friday 30 October, followed by public viewing over the weekend on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.
Toi Marsden will bring together artists from across Aotearoa, alongside an exhibition of work by Marsden’s Artist in Residence, Fleur Wickes. More than 50 artist submissions have already been received from around the country, with applications open until the end of August before the selection panel confirms the final line-up.
Alongside the Art Show, a major raffle will also be launched. The headline prize is the Ultimate First Car Package, which includes a brand-new MG3, a defensive driving course, one year’s car insurance and exclusive use of Principal Paula Wells’ car park for one term. The MG3 is now on display in Te Manawa o te Kura, with more details about raffle tickets to be shared early next term.
Funds raised through Toi Marsden and the major raffle will support Marsden’s Artist in Residence Programme, now in its 27th year, as well as future enhancements to our facilities. We are fortunate to have a beautiful campus, and this support will help us continue to strengthen the programmes and experiences that enrich life for Marsden students, now and into the future.
