Marsden came together on Tuesday to celebrate our departing 2026 Year 13 cohort and formally welcome our incoming 2027 Head Students’ Committee.

Earlier this week, we celebrated our 2026 Year 13 cohort on their final formal day at Marsden before they head off on study leave. It was a day filled with reflection and laughter as we honoured the lasting mark they have left on our school community.

The morning began with a communion service in the Chapel, followed by a shared breakfast with their families, which provided an opportunity for parents, students, and staff to connect as they looked back on their journeys at Marsden.

During Period 1, the Middle and Senior schools gathered for the annual and highly anticipated Leadership Handover Assembly. Following tradition, the 2026 Head Students’ Committee each formally passed on their roles to the newly appointed 2027 Head Students’ Committee. It was a special moment as outgoing leaders presented flowers and emblems of their roles to their successors, marking the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership at Marsden.

The celebrations continued for our Year 13s with traditional strawberries and ice cream, courtesy of the Old Girls on staff, followed by a farewell assembly full of student performances and heartfelt speeches that perfectly captured the cohort's joy, friendships and vibrant energy during their time at Marsden. The day concluded with shirt-signing and a Principal’s BBQ, before wrapping up with time spent celebrating alongside the Year 12s.

Our 2026 Year 13s leave behind a legacy of kindness, leadership, and service, and we could not be prouder of all they have accomplished.

Congratulations once again to the 2027 Head Students’ Committee. We look forward to seeing your leadership, creativity, and vision flourish in the year ahead.
