Our Manaaki at Marsden programmes provide flexible, welcoming care for students in Years 1-8, supporting busy families before and after the school day and during school holidays.  

 

Whether you need regular care or the flexibility of occasional sessions, Manaaki provides a safe, engaging environment where students can relax, play, connect with friends and enjoy a range of activities beyond the classroom.

Before and After School Care

Led by our wonderful Programme Lead, Beth McDonald, Manaaki Before and After School Care is available to Marsden students in Years 1–8. Operating from our dedicated Manaaki Room, with easy access to surrounding outdoor spaces, the programme offers convenient care options to suit different family schedules.

Before School Care

Families can choose from two morning options:

 

  • Early Bird Breakfast Club | 7.30–8.30am: A relaxed start to the day, including a simple breakfast and supervised activities.
  • Morning Care | 8.00–8.30am: Supervised care for students arriving before classrooms open.

 

At the end of the morning session, students in Years 1–6 are safely escorted to their classrooms by 8.30am, while students in Years 7–8 make their own way to Form Time.

After School Care

After School Care operates every school day from 3.15–5.30pm. Sessions include afternoon tea, time to unwind, a mix of fun activities, outdoor play and the opportunity to complete homework in a supportive and familiar setting.

Flexible bookings to suit your family

Families can book regular sessions or use Manaaki occasionally, whenever extra care is needed.


Bookings are required for all sessions:

 

  • Before School Care: Book by 7.30pm the night before.
  • After School Care: Book up to one hour before the session begins.

 

Bookings can be made through our online booking platform or the AimyMe parent app, where families can conveniently manage bookings, sessions and invoices.

School Holiday Programme

Our popular Manaaki Holiday Programme offers families a convenient care option during selected school holidays.

 

Led by our dedicated Sport & Active Recreation Coordinator, Jess Gill, the holiday programme offers a fun mix of themed days, creative activities, games, trips and time with friends. Open to children in Years 1–8, it's a great opportunity for siblings and friends to enjoy the holidays together.

 

The programme runs from 8.15am–5.30pm on scheduled programme days. 

December 2026/January 2027 Holiday Programme

We're pleased to confirm that our summer holiday programme will be running again this December and January, following the end of Term 4 on Thursday 3 December 2026.
