Our Manaaki at Marsden programmes provide wraparound care for students in Years 1-8 during term time and the December school holidays. Together, these programmes provide flexible options for busy families and ensure Marsden students are happy, safe, and engaged beyond the school day.
After School Care
Launching in Term 1 2026, our after school programme offers relaxed and caring after school supervision for Marsden students in Years 1 to 8. Children enjoy afternoon tea, a mix of fun, engaging activities and the opportunity to complete homework in a safe on-campus environment. Families can book regularly or casually right up until one hour beforehand (space allowing)
The programme runs daily during term time from 3.15pm to 5.30pm in the Manaaki Room (formerly the Primary Te Reo Room), with access to nearby outdoor spaces. It is run by our Programme Lead, Beth McDonald, who brings strong experience and is known for her warm, organised and creative approach. Beth enjoys getting to know each child and brings plenty of energy and fresh ideas to each afternoon.

December Holiday Programme
Manaaki at Marsden is our fun and flexible school holiday programme, designed for students in Years 1–8 and their siblings.
Running 8–19 December 2025, the programme offers themed days full of hands-on activities, time to relax, and plenty of holiday fun. From water play and sports to crafts, cooking, and Christmas creativity, there’s something for everyone. Bookings are essential as places are limited.
Programme details:
- Monday 8 December to Friday 19 December
- 8.30am to 5.30pm daily
- $70 per child per day (15% off for full week bookings or when siblings attend on the same day. School accounts will be charged near the end of December so no upfront payment is required)
