Students equip classroom through 40 Hour Famine World Vision Appeal

Congratulations to everyone who got involved in the 40 Hour Famine World Vision Appeal but especially to our Year 13 Marsden Whitby Student Leaders who organised a superbly well-run Tribal Survival event last Friday at school. You are all to be congratulated on your efficiency, careful planning and enthusiastic support throughout what was a long and tiring day – and night!

Their efforts, and those of the rest of the student community, raised a magnificent $3,174.90 for World Vision. $2,500 enables them to equip an entire classroom of resources in the refugee camp. The extra money raised will fund six teachers and an extra space for trauma counselling for the children. This is truly making a tangible difference to people‘s lives and a wonderful example of the servant leadership we hope to engender in all our students.
