Tremendous Results for Language Students
Marsden had 15 students participate in the annual German Language Competition organised by the Goethe Society Wellington. Schools from around Wellington and the Hutt Valley took part in the oral competition at Victoria University at the end of August. Students had to present a prepared reading and carry out a conversation in German and were judged by both a German teacher and a native speaker of German.
We are delighted to announce our girls had some tremendous results:
|Olivia Coustance||Year 9||1st prize overall in Y9|
|Keisha Wong||Year 10||1st prize overall in Y10|
|Caitlin Stapleton||Year 10||2nd prize in Y10|
|Tabea Ulrich||Year 10||1st prize Native speaker category Y10|
|Anjali Gentejohann||Year 13||st prize Native speaker category Y13|
In addition Olivia and Keisha gained first equal for achieving 99%, the highest mark in their categories!
The formal prizegiving will take place on 19 September 2018 at Victoria University. Bravo! Gutgemacht!
