Celebrating Marsden's Performing Arts Students

We enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating Marden students' achievements in the performing arts on Thursday 12 October 2023.

Our guest speaker, singer and librettist Georgia Jamieson Emms, spoke of what it takes to carve out a career in the performing arts. She emphasised the importance of remaining tenacious and resilient in following your passion and that chasing your dreams is totally worth it.

Georgia encouraged our students to 'say yes' to every opportunity, because you never know where that detour might take you and to remember that the path to success is never linear.

Performances by kapa hapa, Altissime, Sage Pettus and the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy trio from Broaderway entertained the audience, and student Heads of Performing Arts, Louisa Boyer and Freya McKeich, delivered beautiful speeches about their experiences in performing arts at Marsden.
