Rutherford & Bond Toyota sponsor Rowing Club for third season

We are thrilled that the team at Rutherford & Bond Toyota have invested in Marsden's Rowing Club for a third season by providing a Toyota Hilux to assist with the transportation of our rowers. We're so grateful for their belief in our rowing programme. With their support we are looking forward to an amazing rowing season ahead.

Whanganui Rowing Camp

Incredible teamwork

This year's rowing season began with the students away at camp in Whanganui during the second week of the school holidays. Coach, Jamie Fitzgerald knows rowing requires incredible teamwork and has been working tirelessly alongside the rowers to ensure they have a great season. 


I’m so proud of how the Marsden squad has worked hard throughout the Spring programme, despite the challenging weather in the capital. Returning rowers and ‘learn-to-rowers’ have trained hard together in the gym and hills, and on the ergs and water. Rowing is a sport that requires incredible teamwork. It brings together many, many moving parts to ensure the most efficient movement on the water. This is one of the reasons I feel our partnership with Rutherford and Bond Toyota is such a great match. Their belief in our programme is hugely appreciated, and allows us to move now into the main season and upcoming regattas with confidence.

We are so grateful to all of the team at Rutherford & Bond Toyota for encouraging our students this season through their sponsorship. Not only will our rowing squad greatly benefit from having the use of the Toyota Hilux for the all the training and regattas, it is wonderful to have Rutherford & Bond cheering Marsden on in many other ways.


We are excited to confirm our continued sponsorship of the Marsden Rowing Club for the 2023/24 season. Over the last few years, we have built a great relationship with Samuel Marsden, and I look forward to seeing this develop over the season. Team sport is amazing, and it teaches us that together, we can achieve more than we could on our own. We are very proud to align with such a passionate, dedicated, and incredible team. We look forward to following their journey this season!
