Marsden is proud to announce the remarkable achievement of our Head of Technology, Sarah Wirth, who has recently been elected to the role of Vice President Pacific for the International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE) and has successfully secured Wellington as the host city for the IFHE World Congress in 2028.

This prestigious event, held every four years, will bring together home economics professionals from around the globe to share knowledge, discuss advancements, and foster international collaboration in the field.

Sarah Wirth, Head of Technology at Marsden, who has recently returned from the 25th World Congress of the IFHE in Ireland, played a pivotal role in the bidding process. Her efforts have not only highlighted Wellington's capability to host such a significant event but have also made the school community so proud.

Wellington was chosen as host city for its amazing food and innovation in textiles and sustainable practices, as well as being a safe, walkable city, with great facilities at Tākina
